Living on the street

A story that comes to my mind ..... "there was a young man who lived on the streets near us and would get food from us. As it was winter we also gave him blankets and clothes, but often he was robbed of these.

We asked him if he had family and he said he had a granny in Natal. We as a team got money together and first invited him in to have a long warm bath and into new clean clothes. Lucy (one of the team) then took him to a barber for a nice haircut and she took him to Johannesburg bus station, where she bought him a ticket to return to his gran.

We were able to make a difference in his life and get him off the streets."
